Design parameters:

• WWTP capacity is 11 460 PE;
• Average daily waste water quantity of 1 550 m³/d;
• Nitrogen and phosphorus removal and discharge into the Danube river – a “sensitive zone” water body;

Performed activities:

• Preparation of Feasibility Study (FS);
• Preliminary Design for WWTP of Belene (in two options);
• Detailed Design:
  – For all design parts;
  – Bill of quantities;
  – O&M costs for MPSOV;
  – Determination of the cost price of 1 m3 treated water.
• Coordination of the project between the different design parts;
• Preparation of sludge management plan;
• Preparation of tender documents for:
  – Construction of WWTP Belene;
  – Construction of the water supply and sewerage network Belene (16 km sewerage and 16 km water supply network)
  – Construction supervision.
