Design parameters:

• The process diagram of the Pomorie Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) takes into account the seasonal variation specifics of the WWTP “peak season” and “off-peak season” input loads, therefore, there are different operation modes;
• WWTP has capacity of 56 626 PE with Qav.d= 10 215 m³/d in “peak season”, and 21 867 PE with Qav.d= 4 500 m³/d in “off-peak season”. The WWTP is with nitrogen and phosphorus removal and deep-water discharge – one nautical mile into a Black Sea (“sensitive zone”);
